Jonathan and I spent our first 'married' Thankgiving experiencing something a little different from our normal traditions. I usually fly home to a chilly, crisp Boston to spend several days with my family and friends, drinking wine by the fireside & getting started on some holiday shopping. Jonathan's family traditionally spends a cozy Thanksiving afternoon eating a Lebanese-style dinner and relaxing in front of the football game at his parent's home.
With our new marriage came a new experience this holiday, as we were invited to attend Thankgiving dinner at the Cosmos Club in downtown Washington DC. Dining out on Thanksgiving was a completely new concept and figuring out what to wear to such a beautiful, historic restaurant was just as exciting! Jonathan and I decided to pull out some of the new pieces we purchased in Italy to dress for the occasion.
We feel so fortunate to have been able to spend this holiday with such amazing family & friends and appreciate all the good that has come to us this year. Jonathan and I are looking forward to starting some of our own traditions on this particular holiday moving forward and hope that whatever new or old traditions you celebrated on this special day, brought you together with the ones you love the most.
