The Honeymoon is Over!

We're back! We're married...and are finally settling into our new life together :-)
All I can say is 'Wow'. What an incredibly amazing three weeks we had! I'll post about the wedding soon, but for now, here are a few highlights of our absolutely perfect honeymoon to Italy!
We started out with 4 relaxing days in Positano on the Amalfi Coast of Italy.

We lounged by our hotel pool with quite a view!

We took a private boat over to the Isle of Capri where we shopped, lunched, indulged in Gelato and spent a few hours cruising around the coast of the island checking out all the Grottos and took a dip in the cyrstal blue Mediterranean!

The highlight of our time on the Amalfi Coast was our cooking class with Mamma Agata in the town of Ravello!

We watched Mamma instruct as she cooked a six course meal, which we enjoyed every morsal at this sweet table adorned with the local painted china of Ravello. We washed down the delicious fare with Mamma's homemade wine and enjoyed the traditional lemoncello for dessert! YUM!

After 4 days on the Amalfi Coast, we took the train from Naples to Rome to spend 3 days touring this very modern yet ancient city!

Jonathan and I explored Rome on our own upon our arrival to Rome. We found a beautiful garden near our hotel with quite a view of the city!

After taking in the sites of the Collesium, the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and endlessly walking around Rome, we headed over to Florence...the city in which we fell in love all over again :-)

It's safe to say that Florence was one of our favorite cities. Our stunningly beautiful hotel was right in the center of Florence, which made the city very walkable! The shopping was to die for...leather, leather and more leather! And the sunsets in Florence were so romantic, and the food was something I'll never forget!

Tuscany is only an hour outside of Florence, so we hired a private car for the day to explore the beautiful country side! And when I say beautiful...there is no place on earth quite as breath taking and peaceful as Tuscany.

After stopping in Sienna for lunch and some shopping (I picked up a stunning wool coat, which I will post about later), we ended up at Castellare Vineyard, where we indulged in our favorite past time - wine tasting!

After 3 days in Florence, we finished our trip with a finale that absolutely perfected the entire trip! We landed in Venezia!

We were escorted from the train station in Venice to our hotel by a private speed boat. Our hotel was built on a private lagoon and was quite breathtaking to look at upon arrival.

Our tour guide, Kristina, was fabulous and took us on a private tour of the Grand Canal and introduced us to some hidden local restaurants and Gelato stands that are the best in Venice!

Venice is famous for their pistachio and pear flavored gelato - which were my favorites ;-)

The old canals are so quaint and beautiful, it's like visiting a movie set!

We had the most perfect honeymoon - the perfect start to our new married life together. Now that we're home and settling into our routine again, we love looking back on these photos and remembering the indulgence, the beauty, the cuisine, the people we met...but most importantly the experience we shared together as husband and wife. I'm so happy to share these photos with you all!

*Jonathan and I booked our honeymoon through Diamond Travel of Capistrano Beach, located in California. They are fabulous and no matter where you live or where you want to travel, they will help book you a beautiful trip.
